NEFF celebrates 20 years of the Slide&Hide® feature, the first and only fully retracting oven door. It is now 20 years ago that NEFF broke the rules with an oven door. Until that day, every oven door in every kitchen worked in the same way: by folding open. Instead of doing what everyone did, our engineers and designers at NEFF followed their own bold idea to create a different opening mechanism.

NEFF is opening the doors of its Tuscan Farm inspired EuroCucina booth to visitors from all over the world. The stand design pays tribute to traditional family farms, the original place “to work from home” or “home office” – and by putting the spotlight on some key Tuscan producers, NEFF aims to shine a light on farmers everywhere who kept working and kept us fed during the pandemic.

The partnership with ckbk, an innovative startup which offers a rapidly growing collection of licensed culinary recipes, means users will no longer have to rifle through shelves of printed cookbooks to find recipes from their favourite chefs. Instead they’ll be able to search ckbk’s extensive database to find thousands of recipes by recognised chefs, from old favourites right through to recipes from newly published cookbooks.

NEFF is thrilled to announce their win for Innovative Architecture, making this the third award for its EuroCucina stand at the 2018 Salone de Mobile fair in Milan.

NEFF is expanding their product offering from home appliances to everything needed for an inspired kitchen and table, including tableware, spices and cooking utensils.

NEFF wins the prestigious German Design Award in the ‘Fair and Exhibition’ category for “The Inspiration Market” stand, inspired by a colourful Art Nouveau market, complete with aged iron columns, fragrant herbs and spices, and fittingly positioned home appliances. The stand was built by Solutions2, a British firm from Birmingham, specialising in quality bespoke stand design.

The 2018 Inspiration Market by NEFF was the next step in our venture to get closer to ingredients and the inspiration they bring to the creative cooking process. A large cooking show area invited visitors to see live cooking demonstrations that were streamed to NEFF Italy's Facebook page.

The NEFF Inspiration Market at the EuroCucina was the ideal setting for us to launch our flavour boosting plates. We partnered with UK-based ceramicist Reiko Kaneko who created a unique plate set inspired by Prof. Charles Spence's research on how the colour, shape and texture of crockery can intensify the flavour perception of food. They are a must-have for flavour-obsessed foodies and will be available to order soon.

Since its launch 15 years ago, our Slide&Hide® ovens have been a staple with creative cooks. On 27th April the one millionth Slide&Hide® oven left the production line, ready to open the door and get out of the way of passionate cooks all over the world.

Since our foundation 140 years ago, NEFF has inspired generations of cooks, helping them keep up with life's demands and foodie trends that fuel culinary exploration. From creating the first thermostat ovens in the 50s for more precise baking to catering for an increased demand for fresher-for-longer fruit and vegetables with the introduction of clever refrigerators in the late 80s, NEFF has nurtured generations of cooks over the past 14 decades.

NEFF’s 14 Decades of Dinner research offers the great opportunity to take inspiration from the past 140 years and celebrate Europe’s culinary heritage. The journey from 1877 to 2017 reveals food trends throughout the decades, reflecting the continent’s relationship with food and its evolution.
