House plants and micro gardens are a key trend in 2022. We use plants and herbs in our food but let’s not neglect how they add to a beautiful interior.
DECORATIVE LADDER
We have used an old wooden ladder in a less conventional way to impress your guests at the dinner table for a special evening. We have hung the ladder and plants directly above the dinner table to provide a unique and tranquil setting.
To hang the pots, you can use slightly thicker parcel string made of sisal and tie four strands at the bottom of the pot with a double knot and lead them up the side of the pot. For a cosy atmosphere, we also hung beautiful light bulbs on textile cables in between.
HANGING SHELVES
Turn your home into a green oasis even in the winter months with our hanging shelves.
You can design the size of the shelf according to own taste and space. We have chosen a shelf with four levels. It is important that you have the pots, plants and a suitable place beforehand. Depending on the size of the plants, you should determine the distance between the individual tiers so that they have enough space to grow.
Depending on the length of the wall, you can cut four wooden boards of sufficient width for the pot. It is best to choose a pot with a small rim or a tapered pot. Use a jigsaw to make three round cut-outs per board. To make the boards into a shelf, drill holes in each corner (four in total). Pass a 1cm thick rope through these holes and tie them together under the board. In between, use a spirit level and adjust the knots if necessary. It is important to have a stable suspension, because the weight of the plants can make the shelf quite heavy.
TABLE DECORATION
Why limit adding greens to just your plate when you can add to the entire dinner table?
We upcycled a wooden box and planted various herbs in it. Your guests can pick the fresh herbs directly off the table. To enhance the garden feeling, you can order fresh moss from a florist and use it to decorate the table around the small islands of herbs.
KITCHEN HERBS SHELF
Fresh herbs enrich every recipe and should not be missing in any kitchen. Make them available and always in arms reach with your very own indoor garden. We have filled 3 different boxes with an abundance of herbs to make it not only practical but a statement in its own right.
You can cover the boxes with a plastic sheet, fill them with soil and plant them at a sufficient distance apart. They should have enough space to grow. You can arrange the boxes in different ways on top of each other or next to each other.
FLORAL ICE CUBES
Impress your guests by freezing herbs in ice blocks and drop into a cocktail or mocktail of your choice. Simply drop the herbs into the mould, add water and then pop them into the freezer. The results speak for themselves and are sure to bring a smile to your guests face.
