Turn your voice into a cooking utensil
It’s just like at your favourite coffee place: you order a coffee, and Amazons voice assistant Alexa and Home Connect team up to brew a delicious cup of macchiato. The only thing you have to do is walk over to the coffee machine and pick it up. But that’s not all Alexa and Home Connect can do: you can control the oven, ask for the time left until dinner is ready or adjust the temperature. All the while, you have your hands free for cooking.
Create your own functions
Get creative – not just when cooking, but also when using your appliances. IFTTT is a simple tool that allows you to create your own routines. The abbreviation stands for If This Then That. If one thing happens, another one will follow. Like music playing when the oven is done cooking dinner. Or the hood light coming on when the fridge door is left open. It’s up to you what happens next, as you define the instructions – which can be tailored precisely to your needs.
