Mulled wine

Ingredients

650ml dry rosé wine

350ml grapefruit juice

1 pomegranate

4 mandarin oranges

1 grapefruit

4 tbsp concentrated agave juice

(honey could be substituted)

4 mace blades

2 tsp pink peppercorns

Step 1

Cut the mandarin oranges and grapefruit into thin slices.

Step 2

Combine rosé, grapefruit juice and oranges and bring to a boil at level 7.

Step 3

Stir in the concentrated agave juice and mace blades. Add the grapefruit slices and simmer for another 3 to 4 minutes at level 4.

Step 4

Strain the mulled wine into glasses.

Step 5

Finally, add pomegranate seeds and pink peppercorns to give the glasses a nice splash of colour.
