Some of our appliances are fitted with a Pyrolytic function as well as an EasyClean function. While we recommend using both for maximum effectiveness, you may wonder what differentiates them and when one would be more suitable than the other for your oven’s maintenance.
Generally put, the Pyrolytic cleaning programmes are designed to just let the interior clean itself by using very high temperature (a blistering 485°C) to reduce grease and dirt to ashes. We recommend that this program should be used every 6-12 months based on usage, being particularly well suited for deep-cleaning of the cooking compartment rather than every day maintenance.
The EasyClean programme on the other hand is a quick and easy option for day to day maintenance of your appliance. It is a shorter programme, designed to make cleaning easier by softening dirt and grease through vapour. We recommend pairing with soapy water for best results.
For safety reasons, due to the high temperature used in the Pyrolytic program, the oven door will remain locked until completion. We also advise that you do not try to open the oven door while EasyClean is also running as this is a safety hazard and will also interrupt the cleaning effectiveness.
