If you feel that your oven is cooking slowly, it may not be maintaining the desired heat level throughout the cooking duration. You can check this with a thermometer at home by following the instructions below.
Begin by checking your oven’s temperature accuracy by using an oven thermometer. Place it in the centre of the middle rack and preheat the oven to 200°C. You should then wait for approximately 20 minutes before checking the thermometer to take the first reading. Continue a regular check for the next hour and a half, by taking a reading every 20 minutes, then work out the average by dividing the sum of the readings by the number of readings you have taken.
